Adoption Project

Organization: Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc.

Volunteer attorneys represent nonparent relatives in the adoption of children who have been in the relative's care long-term. Clients are commonly grandparents, but may be other relatives or fictive kin. These are typically not contested cases. ALAS provides volunteer attorneys with training, form pleadings, and ongoing expert support from our in-house adoption attorneys. 

 

This project is open to Georgia-barred attorneys only.
