Fulton County Family Law Information Center Clinic - Daily Shifts Available
Organization: Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc.
Georgia State University law students and attorneys with less than three years of family law experience are welcome to assist at self-help tables along with an Atlanta Legal Aid attorney.
Volunteers are needed Monday-Thursday from 9:30 am-3 pm. Experienced family law attorney's can volunteer during those times and also on Fridays from 9-5.
The Family Law Information Center (FLIC) was developed to assist people who wish to represent themselves in domestic legal matters or educate themselves about domestic issues. Anyone may come to FLIC to obtain legal forms or information on a variety of issues, including: paternity establishment, legitimation, custody, visitation, child support, annulment and divorce.
Clients may obtain pro se forms on a variety of family law topics from the FLIC website for free. Printed versions of the packets are available at the FLIC office for $2 (cash only).
There are a computer and printer in the attorney’s office along with copies of McConaughey’s, Title 19 and other family law books. Additional forms not included in the regular FLIC packets are in a file on top of the bookcase (including things like petition for custody declaration or termination of IDO).
