Gender-Affirming Name Change Project

Organization: Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc.

In this project, volunteer attorneys represent eligible clients in gender-affirming name changes, birth certificate amendments, and gender marker changes.

Note: We are currently hiring for a staff attorney to coordinate this project! In the interim, we have a slower flow of these cases and will place most with volunteers who can complete the case independently. We still encourage you to reach out if you are interested, and we are happy to add you to a list for future project outreach. - 3/19/24
