The DeKalb Pro Bono Project refers low income clients who cannot afford private representation to volunteer attorneys. Cases are screened thoroughly by DeKalb Legal Aid attorneys. All cases are in DeKalb County and must fall within the case priority and financial eligibility guidelines set by Legal Aid. Your skills and expertise can make a real and immediate impact on the lives of those in need.
One of our greatest needs is with our monthly Landlord/Tenant Legal Clinic. Presented in partnership with the DeKalb Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, both landlords and tenants come to learn about the eviction process, Georgia Landlord/Tenant law, and the court process. This is a great opportunity for volunteers to get involved in our pro bono program!
We welcome volunteers for other opportunities as well. With your expertise and our support and training, together we can help our clients access critical legal services.
